No details on the perpetrator other than that he has been taken into custody, is 17, and is originally from Cardiff. Some of the victims in a critical condition were stabbed while trying to defend the children. It's an attack which deserves its own thread, and isolation from other threads which went in all too predictable directions.



The truth will emerge in time, hopefully. A terrible happening for the parents. My guess is it's a case of mental illness.

By "originally from Cardiff" do you mean a Jordanian "asylum seeker" and channel migrant? Because that's what I am hearing. It's early tho. The number of passport-less and unidentifiable Jordanian males pouring into Ireland has risen by some 1,800% this year.

. I think that it's the victims who deserve the focus at the moment rather than the killer. I'll never understand the pathological need of some posters to be able to say the perpetrator of a particular crime is/was an asylum seeker or immigrant.

I get that you want to win an argument against strangers on the internet, but revelling in the murder of children is really just cracked. . Police have issued a statement saying that the 17 year old arrested, was born in Cardiff, and now lives in a nearby village called Banks. It is inevitable that things like this will happen because there is always a danger from a small number of mentally unhinged people in society, but at least in the UK the self inflicted rash of mass murders we see in the sickest society in the western world, the USA, almost certainly cannot happen because of decent gun control regulations.
