A business law firm has expanded its team to 20 with strategic hires. Hybrid Legal, based in Hampshire, marked this milestone after notable growth in turnover over the past year. The firm, which was founded 11 years ago in Southampton by Ryan Lisk, has served over 1,000 companies on various legal matters.
Mr Lisk, who runs Hybrid Legal with Leanne and fellow director Alan Reid, said: "The appointments of Mike and Kay, with the directorship for Leanne, are part of Hybrid Legal’s strategic growth strategy. "We continue to disrupt the legal services market with our fixed-fee pricing and subscription model – clients know exactly what they will be paying, without any surprises. "On the revenue side, we have recorded year-on-year growth over the past five years of between 35 per cent to 40 per cent per annum.
"A key part of income is from our Legal Plus subscription service, which provides subscribers paying a set monthly fee with on-demand legal support and a dedicated client partner. "We continue to challenge the traditional law firm business model, with responsive legal expertise presented in plain English and at a clear, transparent price. "There are parallels in what we do to the challenger banks increasing their market share from the traditional high street banks – upending norms.
" Mike Duggan, previously a senior partner at Addleshaw Goddard, has joined Hybrid Legal as head of corporate. Mr Duggan brings extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), reorganisations, and strategic projects. Another new addition to the team is University of Southampton law graduate Kay Yung, who has moved from a senior consultant solicitor position to an in-house salaried role.
Last year, the firm signalled its expansion phase by appointing Leanne Consiglio as a director. Ms Consiglio's expertise includes M&A, company reorganisations, corporate governance, and shareholder matters. Hybrid Legal offers legal advice in various sectors, such as creative and digital agencies, media, PR, e-commerce, retail, leisure, recruitment, manufacturing, and engineering.
