South Korean girl studying in Pune felicitated for artwork

1 2 Pune: The union ministry of power recently felicitated Sunkyung Ko , a south Korean girl studying in the city for a painting she made based on the themes of sustainable living and conscious thinking. The grade 9 student was selected and shortlisted in the list of final 50 students from numerous entries across Maharashtra for her painting which depicted a unique artistic vision and technical excellence. Sunkyung Ko, a student of Pune's Victorious Kidss Educares school represented her school at the state-level art competition organised by the union ministry of power.

"I did not know I possessed this hidden talent until the teachers and mentors of my school discovered it. They nurture all students and their unique potential, fostering an inclusive environment where every voice is valued. Our school encourages students to explore their passions and develop skills, empowering them to shine in diverse fields—from academics and the arts to sports and social impact, " she said after being recognised for her artwork in the "Energy Conservation" art competition.



Students in the school are provided with personalised guidance and ample growth opportunities. This year, 18 young artists from the school participated in the event which The school president Robbin Ghosh said, "Among the 18 students, Sunkyung Ko stood out for her unique artistic vision and expressive style. Her artwork is praised for its creativity, depth of expression, and technical excellence.

Only 50 outstanding artworks were chosen to move forward, highlighting students' exceptional creativity and environmental awareness across the state.".
