, and will feature the handcrafted items of over 100 professional crafters, as well as concessions, a bake sale and raffle baskets. Admission is $2, but children 12 years old and younger are admitted for free. The Soroptimist International of Fulton & Montgomery Counties, an international organization for business and professional women, is in its 10th year hosting the event after it was run for 32 years by Hadassah — an American Jewish volunteer women's organization.

The local Soroptimist chapter was founded in 1953 as the Soroptimist Club of Fulton County in 1953, eventually expanding to serve Montgomery County as well. The craft fair is one of the club's main fundraisers each year and support all of the club's efforts throughout its community and beyond. Those efforts have included supporting domestic violence prevention programs, CAPTAINS Runaway and Homeless Youth Drop-in Center, and NOAH (Needy or Alone and Hungry)/One Church Street in Johnstown.

The chapter also provides scholarships to local women pursuing their education goals. The club also assists health care services locally and internationally. It helped Nathan Littauer Hospital purchase its biopsy unit for mammography.

It also donated an ultrasound machine in Honduras and to Dr. Tom Catena and his work in Sudan. “Remember by supporting this event, you help the Soroptimist Club support local projects and community programs,” said fair co-chair Laurie Agee in a statement.
