PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie fell short of matching their 2023 Asian Championships performance after bowing out in the quarter-finals in Ningbo, China on Friday (April 11). Seeded third in the tournament, the husband-and-wife duo suffered a shock defeat to world No. 25 pair Jafar Hidayatullah-Felisha Pasaribu of Indonesia, going down 15-21, 11-21 in just 38 minutes.

The loss also dashed their hopes of returning home with at least a bronze medal, a feat they achieved two years ago when the tournament was held in Dubai..
