SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The deadline to acquire a REAL ID to board domestic flights and access secure federal facilities is a month away.Because of that, starting April 14 and continuing until June 27, the California Department of Motor Vehicles will open select offices in San Diego County an hour early for REAL ID appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 7 a.m.

Uploaded documents should then be brought to a DMV office to complete the application, which should take only about 15 minutes in the office if the process was started online.Regular DMV office hours are from 8 a.m.
to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, while office hours on Wednesdays open from 9 a.
m. to 5 p.m.
