Soha Ali Khan has confirmed that her brother Saif Ali Khan has fully recovered from the January knife attack at his Mumbai home. Actor and author Soha Ali Khan has opened up about her brother Saif Ali Khan’s recovery following the shocking knife attack at his Mumbai home earlier this year. Speaking to PTI in a recent interview, Soha confirmed that Saif is now “completely fine" and has returned to work after undergoing surgeries and an intensive healing process.

The brutal incident, which occurred on January 16 at Saif’s Bandra residence, sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and his fanbase. The 53-year-old actor was reportedly attacked by an intruder with a knife and sustained six stab wounds. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent spinal and plastic surgeries.

Saif was discharged from the hospital on January 21 and has since been recovering in private. Reflecting on those difficult days, Soha shared, “It disturbed all of us. Our main concern was that he was fine, which he was, and has fully recovered now and is back to work.

That was our focus. Thank God, he is alright." Her comments offer relief to fans who had been eagerly awaiting updates since the terrifying incident.

The assailant, whose motive has not been publicly confirmed, was arrested shortly after the attack. Authorities conducted an investigation and reportedly tightened security around Saif and his family. Despite the trauma, Saif has chosen to return to work without delay, displaying the quiet resilience that has long defined his off-screen persona.

On the professional front, Saif had several projects lined up for 2025, and insiders reveal that he’s now back on set fulfilling his commitments, although with increased security measures in place. He is expected to begin promoting his next major film in the coming months. Meanwhile, Soha Ali Khan herself is making headlines for her upcoming role in Chhorii 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 psychological horror hit Chhorii.

The original film, directed by Vishal Furia, was a remake of his 2017 Marathi cult classic Lapachhapi and centered on a pregnant woman tormented by supernatural forces in a rural setting. The sequel continues the story of Sakshi (played by Nushrratt Bharuccha) and promises to introduce new elements of horror along with the return of key characters. In Chhorii 2, Soha steps into an unexpected antagonist role, marking a significant shift from her previous filmography.

Speaking about the project, Soha has expressed excitement about exploring a darker, more layered character, which challenges her both emotionally and physically. Her transformation for the film is already generating buzz online. The horror thriller is produced by T-Series, Crypt TV, and Abundantia Entertainment, and is set to premiere on Prime Video on April 11, 2025.

With a loyal fan base for both Soha and the franchise, expectations are running high..
