Software engineer found dead in apartment in Bengaluru

A 38-year-old software engineer ended his life on April 5 at Ganigarahalli in Bengaluru allegedly due to family issues. The deceased, Prashanth Nair, is from Kerala. He had been living in Bengaluru for a long time.

He was married for 12 years and the couple have a daughter. Recently, the couple had separated and the wife, along with their daughter, was living in a different house. The police said that there is not much clarity on whether the couple were divorced.



“Prashanth’s father had called him on April 5, but did not get a response. He called multiple times. Not getting any response, he went to his apartment and found him dead.

He immediately called the police and then lodged a complaint,” said a police official. The Soladevanahalli police visited the apartment, registered a case, sent the body for post-mortem, and handed it over to the family. The police are yet to determine the exact cause for him taking the extreme step.
