Bayern Munich superstar Harry Kane has set a new all-time UEFA Champions League record following his four-goal haul on Tuesday night. The England captain netted four times in Bayern's 9-2 demolition of Dinamo Zagreb at the Allianz Arena. With 33 goals, the 31-year-old surpassed Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney and has now scored on more occasions than any other Englishman in the competition's history.

Rooney previously held the record with his 30 strikes, all scored for the Red Devils during his 13-year stay at the club between 2004 and 2013. Three of Kane's four goals against Zagreb came from the penalty spot as the experienced forward admitted he was not sure where to place his third kick from the spot. "Amazing game, a bit of a crazy game for sure," he told broadcaster .

"To score all those goals in the end was a great night. "To be honest, after the second (penalty), I didn't really know what to do with the third one, but thankfully I was able to put it away." Kane has now scored nine goals this season already for the Bavarians, after netting a hat-trick in the Bundesliga this weekend.
