A Manchester United legend has suggested Marcus Rashford may be becoming a distraction at the club, which could force the English side to sell the attacker as soon as possible. The Manchester native has been omitted from Ruben Amorim’s matchday squad for the past three games. After initially being left out of the Portuguese tactician’s line-up against Manchester City, the 27-year-old revealed that it might be time for a new challenge.
There has been rumoured interest in the United academy graduate from teams within the Premier League, LALIGA, as well as the Saudi Pro League. If Rashford is to leave, it will likely happen during the off-season, but former club captain Gary Neville believes the club may be forced into selling the 60-capped international as soon as the next transfer window. "If you'd said to me seven or eight days ago whether Rashford could leave in January, I'd say no chance,” Neville said on .
"One thing in the past with players at a big club, if you're talking to me about it every single week, it becomes a distraction for the manager and the focal point of the press conference, that's when it does become obvious they have to leave." He added: "It'll probably work for both parties. There's good examples of players who have struggled at Man Utd and gone on to do better elsewhere - Jadon Sancho at Chelsea, Scott McTominay didn't struggle but he's doing well at Napoli.
"Marcus might think that's the right thing for him as well.".
