As Bafana Bafana prepare to go into their final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Sudan in Cape Town, head coach Hugo Broos looks set to make a few changes. Bafana have wrapped up qualification for the competition in Morocco next year and now their target is to ensure they finish the campaign unbeaten. Captain Ronwen Williams is likely to keep his place in goal as Bafana look to wrap up the campaign with a clean sheet on home soil.
Should Williams play, it will be his 50th cap for the national team. At the back, Khuliso Mudau and Fawaaz Basadien could start at right and left back respectively, while former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana is likely to get his chance to start in central defence alongside Mothobi Mvala, meaning Rushwin Dortley could start from the bench. Thalente Mbatha has been impressive whenever he has come on for Bafana and is likely to get his first national team start today.
Teboho Mokoena looks set to keep his place in central midfield. Patrick Maswanganyi came on as a substitute against Uganda on Friday and sealed the victory by scoring Bafana's second. The Orlando Pirates attacking midfielder is likely to get his opportunity from the start, with Iqraam Rayners, Oswin Appollis and Thapelo Morena as the front three.
Williams, Mudau, Mvala, Ngezana, Basadien, Morena, Mokoena, Mbatha, Maswanganyi, Appollis, Rayners.
