The Siya crew has been led to believe that Sekhukhune United have expressed an interest in a player who recently left Orlando Pirates. The Buccaneers announced the departure of attacking midfielder Lesedi Kapinga, ending a period of just over a year with the Soweto giants. In his one season with the Buccaneers, the former Black Leopards and Mamelodi Sundowns player made 13 appearances in all competitions, scoring just one goal.

He made just two starts as he struggled to get into the team ahead of the other attacking players at Pirates. Kapinga had hoped that he would have better luck at Pirates after struggling for game-time at Sundowns, but not much changed as he spent most of his time watching matches from either the bench or the stands. The 29-year-old is, however, still rated highly and it comes as no surprise that there is interest in his services.

The Siya crew has been reliably informed that Sekhukhune are determined to bring the player on board and it's believed that he is keen on a move to Babina Noko, who are looking to improve on last season's fourth place finish in the league. Kapinga is in need of an environment where he can play regularly, just as he did at Leopards, and Sekhukhune could be the place where he gets his career back on track..
