Orlando Pirates have confirmed the exit of one of the club's midfielders after his contract was terminated by mutual consent. In a brief statement on the club's official website, Pirates confirmed that Lesedi Kapinga has left the club after both parties agreed on the early release from his contract. Signed from Mamelodi Sundowns just over a year ago, the move to the Buccaneers was seen as an opportunity to revive a once-promising career.
However, the former Black Leopards man would fail to establish himself as a regular in Jose Riveiro's side and would make just 13 appearances - majority of which came off the bench - in his only season spent with the Soweto giants. He remains one of the best midfielders in terms of technical ability, though it is yet to be seen whether Kapinga can find a suitable home for his talents to be best displayed in the Premiership..
