"Get your life right [and] stop worrying about mine. I'm cool, I'm together" Snoop Dogg has responded to the “hate” he’s received since performing at the Crypto Ball last week to celebrate the inauguration of US President Donald Trump . READ MORE: Entertainment world reacts to Donald Trump’s 2024 US election win: “We are all totally fucked” The hip-hop icon – alongside Soulja Boy and Rick Ross – performed at the inaugural Crypto Ball in Washington DC, an event described as a “celebratory setting” intended to honour “America’s first ‘crypto president’”.
Snoop instantly received backlash online and initially responded by uploading a video of him and Ross having fun at the ball , with the caption: “Got a real Crip up in the Crypto Ball, bang bang.” Yesterday (January 26), the West Coast rap legend posted two videos of him smoking while driving and listening to music. Beneath the first post , many fans were disappointed that he hadn’t apologised for performing at an event that honoured Trump.
One person brought up his race, saying: “He’s only black on the surface. His soul is WHITE! #cancelled.” Another commented: “No amount of distracting us will make us forget, Snoop.
..” The slew of negative comments caused Snoop to post another video of him smoking while listening to ‘Amen’ by The Impressions.
“It’s Sunday man, I got gospel in my heart,” he started. “For all that hate, I’m going to answer with love. Y’all can’t hate enough on me.
I love too much.” A post shared by snoopdogg (@snoopdogg) Snoop Dogg addresses the controversy surrounding his appearance at Trump's Crypto Ball: "Get the crypto. On Crip tho.

I’m cool, I’m together. Still a Black man, still 100 per cent Black. All out ’til you ball out, ’til you fall out.
I ain’t going nowhere, cuh, I’m right here. On crypto!” More fans commented, explaining that they had “zero hate” and were “just disappointed” by Snoop’s involvement in the event. “Everything but explain or apologise,” one wrote under the second post.
“Your private life is one thing but this was public entertainment for something dangerous to the community.” In the past, Snoop has condemned Trump for being “racist” and compared him to the devil . His attitude towards the new President has since softened, telling The Times that he has “nothing but love and respect” for him last January.
Soulja Boy also hit back at the backlash he received for performing at the Crypto Ball, claiming that Trump wasn’t even at the event. He ranted: “Fuck you mean, I do whatever the fuck I want. It wasn’t even a Trump event – Trump wasn’t even there,.
Y’all so worried about, ‘He performed: him, Snoop, and them.’ Kamala didn’t even win, n****. Y’all want me not to answer the phone on the motherfucking president? Y’all can suck my dick and cancel me all day.
” The Liberty Ball – another inauguration event to honour Trump – was held last week, where the likes of Carrie Underwood , Village People , Kid Rock , Billy Ray Cyrus , and Nelly performed for the POTUS. Underwood and Nelly’s streaming numbers subsequently fell after the concert. Prior to the event, Nelly meanwhile, defended his choice to perform at the Liberty Inaugural Ball , stating: “I’m not doing this for money, I’m doing this ’cause it’s an honour,” he said.
“I respect the office. It don’t matter who’s in office.” Singer-songwriter Jewel was also criticised for her involvement in the Liberty Ball, so she took to Instagram to explain why she performed : “None of us can afford to stop fighting, and I really believe that the only way we can change is in relationship.
It isn’t in isolation or by isolating, it’s by being in relationship, by reaching out, by having hard conversations, and I really hope that we can push through our hurt and move toward understanding on both sides.” Donald Trump was inaugurated into office on January 20 after beating Democratic candidate and former Vice President Kamala Harris in last year’s US presidential election . This is his second time being elected into office, his first was in 2016 when he won over Hillary Clinton .
