Saturday Night Live returned this week after a couple weeks off, with recent Best Actress Mikey Madison hosting after her Anora won Best Picture at the Oscars. As has been the case in recent episodes, the cold open tackled politics, this time addressing the sharing of sensitive material on Signal by high-ranking intelligence and defense officials with Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic . In SNL's version, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, played by Andrew Dismukes, found himself in a text chain with three high school girls (Mikey Madison, Sarah Sherman, Ego Nwodim).
THE BEST SNL SKETCHES OF ALL TIME: The best 15, ranked "FYI -- Green light on Yemen raid!" the first text from Dismukes' Hegseth read in the high school group chat. From there, Vice President J.D.
Vance (Bowen Yang) and Marco Rubio (Marcello Hernández) were added and more sensitive material -- like secret operative names and the JFK files -- shared. There was even a well-timed Severance reference from Vance with a "the work is very mysterious and important" joke. Check out the full sketch here: Too funny.
