State Sen. Jim Tedisco (R,C-Ballston Lake) recently helped honor and recognize the 100th birthday of Antoinette “Toni” Cilberti at a celebration at the Clifton Park Senior Center. According to a press release, Cilberti still drives a car, bowls and dances for fun.

She is a national celebrity in her own right, gaining recognition for donating the custom-made dress from her wedding day to her WWII veteran husband, Nicholas Cilberti. The wedding dress was made from the nylon parachute that he brought back with him from the war. The donated dress can be seen on display at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans.
