SIX Premier League clubs are set to chase the services of Dani Olmo following Barcelona's failed attempts to register him, it's been claimed. The Catalans forked out £50million to sign the midfielder from RB Leipzig last summer . But they could only register him until the end of 2024 due to financial constraints imposed on them by La Liga .
And their attempts to register him for the remainder of the season have been REJECTED by the Spanish governing body, meaning Olmo will likely leave the Nou Camp as a free agent this month. And according to reports in Spain , a slew of Premier League clubs are set to join the race for the 26-year-old. Liverpool , Chelsea and Tottenham are said to be set to pursue the Spain international's signature along with rivals Manchester United, Man City and Arsenal .

Olmo has remained professional throughout the uncertainty over his future , which he received a bit of clarity on New Year's Eve. An excerpt of a La Liga statement read: “Barcelona has not presented any alternative that would allow the registration, in accordance with La Liga's economic control regulations, to register any player from next January 2.
" Barca, however, are holding out hope they can retain Olmo after applying for a new license from the Royal Spanish Football Federation to register Olmo and team-mate Pau Victor.
