Six drag queens were welcomed into the Bolton mayor’s parlour in a visit to "promote inclusion". Drag queens Kristal Kane, Jackie Love, Viva la Diva, Shazza Fierce, Pixy Lation and Bolton’s own Mona Moans as well as Bolton Pride organisers Rob and Kev Wright joined borough mayor Cllr Andy Morgan in his parlour on Friday (March 21). Cllr Morgan called the visit a reminder to “celebrate all the different voices and that make our community so vibrant”.

He said: “Inclusion is about more than just words, it’s about making sure everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. “Our town is stronger when everyone has a place at the table. "I welcomed the drag queens, and also the organisers of the annual Bolton Pride Festival, to the mayor’s parlour to help promote inclusion and celebrate diversity in our community.

“The visit was a reminder of how important it is to celebrate all the different voices and talents that make our community so vibrant. “It highlighted that the parlour and the town hall is a space open to everyone, and they, like any other group can, asked to visit and learn more about the mayoralty and the history of our proud town and local government in general. “Being the mayor is about representing and celebrating everyone.
