Many fans of Netflix’s Single’s Inferno alleged that Theo Jang went on the show for fame and to pursue an acting career. Single’s Inferno on Netflix is one of the most popular Korean dating reality shows. Over the years, it has turned many contestants into social media stars as it helped them gain huge fan following and new career opportunities.

Theo Jang, a participant from Single’s Inferno 4, was initially praised for his personality on the show with many viewers calling him a ‘green flag’. However, his image changed after the show ended. Many believed that he went on the show for fame and to pursue an acting career.

Recently, Theo found himself in the spotlight again after a video of him offering dating advice at a college event gained significant traction on social media. The person who shared the clip wrote on Tik Tok, “POV: Theo from Single’s Inferno comes to your college to give dating advice." Social media users quickly reacted to the video.

Many questioned why Theo was in a position to give relationship tips since he was not particularly lucky in love during the show. One comment read, “Shouldn’t he be the one asking for it?" Another user wrote, “He should give advice on acting, not dating, like what." “Dating advice when he was acting all through the show?" a person said.

Someone else added, “LOLL he was so cringe. I skipped when he had airtime." Apart from the backlash over his dating advice, Theo was previously accused of buying Instagram followers.

After Single’s Inferno ended, his sudden rise on social media also raised eyebrows. Many contestants from the show gained followers but Theo’s Instagram growth seemed unusually fast. On March 4 and 5, Theo gained over 28,000 followers as per social media analytics website, SocialBlade.

This sudden increase in such a short span of time led to speculation that the growth is not entirely organic. A screenshot of his follower growth was shared on Reddit where online users debated whether he had purchased followers to boost his social media presence. Theo has also faced backlash when he liked a controversial comment about fellow Single’s Inferno 4 contestant Lee Si An on Instagram.

The comment, posted by one of his fans, referred to Lee Si An as a “pick me girl." A Reddit user noticed Theo’s like and shared a screenshot on the platform, writing, “Theo should get off Instagram once in a while because this is embarrassing." The post sparked a discussion among fans of the show.

While some of his supporters believed that Theo might have liked the comment without reading it carefully, others thought he did it on purpose to seek attention..
