INDIANAPOLIS — The weather concern over the next couple of days will be the bitter cold. Single-digit low temperatures are in the forecast for tonight. It is time to protect your family, pets, car and home from the cold.

You can open cabinets under sinks that are along exterior walls. It is a good idea to keep your home heating to at least 55 degrees. If you use space heaters, please do so safely.

Keep those space heaters away from curtains and furniture and remember it is never safe to heat your home with a stove or oven. Expect a mix of clouds and sun on Wednesday with a few flurries possible. It will be cold all day, with highs near 20.

Lows drop to near zero early Thursday with highs again only in the upper teens and lower 20s. Our attention turns to a snow chance Friday and Saturday. Right now, there is a chance of accumulating snow.

Stay tuned for updates and stay warm..
