Singaporean man dies after being found unconscious in massage pool in Hong Kong hotel

The cause of his death will be determined after the autopsy, the police said.

A hotel guest found the man unconscious in the massage pool in the Royal Plaza Hotel in Mong Kok. SINGAPORE – A Singaporean man died on Oct 10 in Hong Kong, where he was holidaying with his family. In response to queries from The Straits Times, Hong Kong police said the incident occurred at around 9.

20am. The 63-year-old man was using the massage pool at Royal Plaza Hotel in the Mong Kok district, police said. A hotel guest found him unconscious in the pool and a lifeguard tried to revive him before the authorities arrived, reported news outlet Singtao.



He died while being taken to Kwong Wah Hospital, said the police, adding that the cause of death will be determined after the autopsy. The man had a medical history of heart disease and high blood pressure, his family told the police, according to a Singtao report.
