Sinéad Ryan: Indian summer’s arrival in Ireland is just the boost we all needed after a dismal few months

I remember it well because I had just taken my first baby home from hospital and instead of bundling her in the prepared woolly baby-grows, filled with anxiety about keeping her warm, I took her into the garden, watching flowers unexpectedly reviving for a late bloom.
