Starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most anticipated Telugu films of the year. While fans are waiting with bated breath for updates about this action drama, a recent report has revealed that the makers have roped in Shraddha Kapoor for a special dance number alongside Arjun. As reported by Gulte, the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule considered several faces for a dance number.
Among the actors who were considered for the song was Triptii Dimri as well. However, the makers zeroed in on Kapoor who already has a strong fanbase in Telugu and Hindi cinema. The report suggested that Kapoor might be seen dancing with Arjun in one song of the film.
When Pushpa was released in 2022, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Oo Antava became one of the most hit songs. Kapoor has been roped in for a similar song which is expected to create waves and break records. The report also mentioned that Kapoor is their top choice as roping her in would broaden the appeal of the movie across the Northern and Southern Indian film markets.
The makers, however, have not made an official announcement yet. Ahead of the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, the makers have released two songs. Pushpa Pushpa and Sooseki became the talk of the town after its release.
Arjun is currently filming for Pushpa 2: The Rule and he will reprise his role as Pushparaj. Apart from Arjun and Mandanna, the sequel will also star Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, and Anasuya Bharadwaj among others. The sequel will pick up after the events which took place in the first film.
The movie has been directed and written by Sukumar. It has been shot on a budget of Rs 500 crore and will be released in cinemas on December 6, 2024..
