Showery trends indicate continuity in several parts of island (Dec 29)

December 29, Colombo (LNW): Several spells of showers will occur in Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in Hambanthota and Matale districts, with showers or thundershowers being expected to occur at several places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Nuwara-Eliya and Kandy districts during the evening or night, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather forecast today (29). Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva provinces during the morning. The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
