KUALA LUMPUR: Actress and singer Bella Astillah responded to her ex-husband Aliff Aziz and actress Ruhainies pleading guilty to khalwat (close proximity) charges, saying "Praise be to God."

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress and singer Bella Astillah responded to her ex-husband Aliff Aziz and actress Ruhainies pleading guilty to khalwat (close proximity) charges, saying "Praise be to God."Bella clarified that she doesn't feel it's her place to interfere in their situation."We no longer have a legal relationship," she stated, emphasising her desire to avoid misinterpretations.

"I learned about the case from friends. Their decisions are their own. I leave everything to God.



They have their own lives now," she told Harian Metro.The 30-year-old artiste also expressed her focus on her well-being and her two children.When asked if the guilty pleas confirmed the truth of the matter, she declined to comment directly.

"I don't want to say the wrong thing," she explained, adding, "But I believe good deeds bring good things."The Federal Territories Syariah Prosecution Department confirmed that Aliff and Ruhainies paid a RM3,000 fine, concluding the case.They were charged under the Syariah Crimes Act for khalwat.

The initial arrest occurred in March of last year, while Aliff was still married to Bella. They were later divorced in June, three months after the arrest.© New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd.
