‘Show some courage’: Pressure on Albanese over gambling ad ban

Login Greens and crossbench senators will seek to pressure Labor to introduce a total ban on gambling advertising after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese downplayed the significance of ads for online bookmakers. Mr Albanese on Thursday said gambling and not advertising was the biggest issue to be dealt with, and reiterated his opposition to a total ad ban being phased in as recommended by a bipartisan parliamentary inquiry last year.
