Shooting at park in Victorville leaves one wounded

A person was seriously wounded in a shooting at a Victorville park on Wednesday afternoon, officials said. The gunfire rang out shortly before 5:15 p.m.

at the park along Pebble Beach Drive, just west of Rodeo Drive, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department logs. Responding deputies encountered one victim, initially described only as male, who had been shot, department spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said. His age was not clear.



The victim was flown by helicopter to a trauma center for treatment, she said. The attacker or attackers remained at large. No description was available.
