An early Friday shooting at a Hampton lounge has left a man dead, police said. Officers were dispatched to Karma Restaurant and Lounge , located at 87 Lincoln St., at about 1:37 a.

Post Office and near North Armistead Avenue. A statement from the Hampton Police Division said first responders found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the parking lot upon arrival. Members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue transported the man to a local hospital, police said, where the man died of his injuries.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are investigating the incident which police called a homicide in the division’s statement. Hampton police seek the public’s help in identifying the suspect. No additional details were immediately available.
