Shogun season two is in the works! The Emmy-award winning FX series was renewed for two more seasons in May 2024 and we are still awaiting more new updates. Following its first season, the show earned a whopping 25 nominations at the 2024 Emmy Awards , and it won 18 of those, including a history-making win for Anna Sawai . Based on James Clavell ‘s novel, the series is set in Japan in the year 1600 at the dawn of a century-defining civil war.
Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, when a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village.
