Shocking weather maps have turned blue as Turkey is hit by a -11C freeze and - 0C in Spain and Greece. WXCharts has predicted wintery weather to sweep over south Europe on October 25, with low temperatures and some showers. Turkey will see lows of -11C between Susehri and Erzincan.
There is no current forecast for rain or snow in the area. A large part of the east, between Trabzon, Erzurum, Elazig and Sivas, will be between -7C and -4C. The rest of the country will be between -2C and 7C.
Spain and Greece will see lows of 0C in both of the country’s respective northwest regions - Leon and Ioannina. The rest of Greece will be warmer, with temperatures between 3C and 11C on the mainland. Spain will see temperatures between 1C and 7C in the north and 9C to 16C in the south.
This comes as Europe was hit by an ex-hurricane, bringing with it stormy weather for west and central Europe. Ex-Hurricane Kirk was out in the Atlantic at the start of the week, changing from a tropical cyclone to an extratropical low. Spain, Portugal and France all issued weather warnings for storms with heavy rain and high winds.
The ex-hurricane is now moving towards Germany and Denmark. Met Office five-day forecast Tonight: The evening and early hours will see showers becoming more frequent across northwest Scotland. The rest of the UK will remain largely dry, with lengthy clear spells.
As winds fall light, a patchy frost is expected to form. Friday: After a chilly start, most of the UK will enjoy another fine day with plenty of sunshine. However, there's a risk of some showery rain developing at times across northern and western parts of Scotland.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Saturday will bring showery rain across Scotland and Northern Ireland. The rest of the UK will be dry, with sunny spells. Sunday and Monday should remain bright for most, though a few showers are possible.
It will feel warmer..
