The 52-year old's horror spell in charge of the Light Blues saw him sacked in October 2017 after just seven months in the role. Over the next five years, he bounced around various clubs in various countries, having spells in charge of Cruz Azul, Al Shabab, Santos Laguna and Talleres. In December 2022, he was appointed manager of Brazilian outfit Red Bull Bragantino.

Caixinha has impressed at Bragantino, who were involved in a battle for the Brazilian title last season. This season, however, hasn't been as fruitful with Bragantino instead battling at the other end of the table.

In their last match just before the international break, Bragantino held defending champions Palmeiras to a 0-0 draw.

Bizarre bet Rangers players had every day on their coach While the game was rather uneventful, it completely kicked-off at the final whistle. And it was Caixinha who ultimately sparked what became a mass brawl! A dispute between the dugouts reportedly began before the referee's whistle went, with a disagreement over how much time had been added on. When the whistle went, Palmeiras manager Abel Ferreira went straight down the tunnel and this appeared to anger Caixinha.

The former Rangers boss then attempted to shake assistant boss Joao Martins' hand, but was bizarrely blocked by players from doing so. This led to Caixinha becoming visibly furious and he could be seen confronting another member of Palmeiras staff before being dragged away by his own stars. 7 Video footage shows the former Gers manager remonstrating with various people from the Palmeiras bench.

He eventually went back to the dugout area on his own accoard. While things calmed down on the dugout, all hell broke loose on the pitch. The heated scenes in the technical area spilled out onto the pitch, with several players becoming enraged and all kicking off at each other.

The referee brandished two red cards, one to each team as police with riot shields made their way onto the pitch. Caixinha didn't have much to say after the game although he did address the incident. He said: "I am also very competitive.

I am not afraid of nonsense or trivialities. I can handle it all." Palmeiras boss Ferreira also attempted to play the situation down.
