SHO transferred after murder case

Ludhiana: Police commissioner Kuldeep Singh Chahal transferred Daba SHO, sub-inspector Gurshinder Kaur to police line after the brutal murder of a 25-year-old man in Daba’s Mohalla Fateh Singh Nagar on Tuesday night. She has been replaced by sub-inspector Jaspal Singh . Before this, the police commissioner suspended two inspectors over their performance as station house officers (SHOs).

Confirming the development, deputy commissioner of police Jaskiranjit Singh Teja said that SI Gurshinder Kaur’s performance was not up to the mark. He said that besides the recent murder case, other issues with the law and order situation in her area had led to the transfer. Teja added that station house officers would continue to face action if they failed to maintain law and order in their respective areas.



He added that this had been conveyed to them. In July, the police commissioner suspended inspectors Gurpreet Singh and Paramvir Singh for alleged discrepancies in investigation. Both worked as station house officers (SHO) at Sarabha Nagar and Dehlon police stations.
