SHERRILL — The first meeting of the new year for the Sherrill Garden Club will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan.
7, in the Sherrill-Kenwood Library, 543 Sherrill Road. At the start of the meeting, members will remove and pack away the ornaments and the two Christmas trees in the library. The business meeting will follow and members will review the state of the Sherrill Garden Club, including the club’s committees and their duties as well as discuss the activities the club carries out in the community and share ideas for topics of programs for the coming year.
In addition, membership dues for the coming year will be collected. Hosts for the meeting, who will provide refreshments, a table decoration, and garden topic, are Lauryn Blake, Dick Croft, and Mary Bailey. “This is a great opportunity for community members to learn about the Sherrill Garden Club and its commitment to the local community,” club officials added.
