Shedeur Sanders Gets Honest on Colorado's Big 12 Title Hopes

The Buffaloes open up conference play this weekend against Baylor

Typically outspoken Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders offered a candid take on his aspirations for the Buffaloes this season, as they aim to make a statement in their first year back in the Big 12. The Buffaloes are 2-1 out of the gate with wins over North Dakota State and Colorado State. Colorado stumbled mightily against Nebraska, falling 28-10 on the road.

The team opens Big 12 play this weekend against Baylor and are a slight 2-point favorite at home, per ESPN BET . Shedeur and his brother, Shilo, sat down with Robert Griffin III on his Outta Pocket podcast , which went live on Tuesday. Griffin teased that the conference is "ripe" for the taking, with Oklahoma and Texas heading to the SEC.

"Nothing else matters, just the wins." Shilo Sanders, who is currently out with a broken arm, echoed that sentiment. "A lot of new competition.

A lot of teams we haven't seen before," Shiloh Sanders said. "It's not about the other teams. It's about what we do.

" Colorado is +4,000 to win the Big 12, per Vegas Insider , and opened the season with a win total of 5.5. Kansas State and Utah are the favorites, with both squads coming in at +350.
