Travis Hunter put together another Heisman-worthy performance against Utah, making an impact all over the field during Coloradoʻs 49-24 win on Saturday. Hunter caught five passes for 55 yards in the victory, including a circus snag that resulted in a 28-yard gain. He tacked on a creative rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter and also had an interception on the defensive side of the ball.

It was the third game where Hunter had both a touchdown and an interception in a game. After the game, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders issued a strong message on Hunter's Heisman hopes and any of those who continue to doubt that he's deserving of college football's most prestigious trophy. "He's the best player in the country, hands down, no doubt.

There's not a lot of guys who could do what he does on offense and defense," Sanders said after the win . "It's tough to compare him to anyone else." © Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images Sanders said he feels that because the Buffaloes are a polarizing program, it leads to unnecessary criticism of Hunter.

"They don't like us so much, they hate on us too," Sanders said. "It's real hard and it makes me sad they don't give a guy like him his credit because that's generational. It isn't going to happen again for a long time.

" Hunter entered Saturday as the frontrunner for the Heisman and only improved his odds after another big performance. Hunter is now -220 to take home the Heisman, per FanDuel Sportsbook. Related: Gus Johnson’s Five-Word Message After Mind-Blowing Travis Hunter Catch Against Utah.
