Shanaya Kapoor is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Santosh Singh's Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. However, Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter has another big project in her pipeline, and she may soon start filming. Shanaya is reported to star in Student Of The Year 3, which would soon go on the floors.
The actress will make her web series with Karan Johar’s franchise. According to a recent report in Mid-Day, Shanaya will be headlining Student of the Year 3, and the shooting of the upcoming series is scheduled to begin on April 20, 2025. The campus drama will kick off its shooting in Mumbai.
The reports have suggested that the upcoming series will feature six episodes and will be helmed by debutant director Reema Maya. However, the source has also claimed that the Shanaya Kapoor-starrer will be shot over 30 days. The source said, “SOTY 3 has been taking shape for the past six years.
Finally, Karan has given the green signal, and the unit plans to begin filming it from April 20. It will be a tight schedule of just over 30 days to shoot six episodes." The source has further noted that Shanaya Kapoor may play a double role in the upcoming web series.
The series, produced by Karan Johar and directed by Reema Maya, is scheduled to stream on JioHotstar. The first film introduced Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra, while the sequel made Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria famous.
However, SOTY 3 will be the fourth overall project of Shanaya, as she is already working on a few new projects. She will soon make her Bollywood debut with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan alongside Vikrant Massey. Directed by Santosh Singh, the romantic drama has already wrapped up and is gearing up for a 2025 release.
Shanaya is also part of the survival thriller Tu Yaa Main, opposite Adarsh Gourav. Produced by Anand L Rai, and the film is set to release on Valentine's Day 2026. However, Shanaya is currently busy shooting another exciting project with Munjya star Abhay Verma, directed by Shujaat Saudagar.
