It will be the 19th branch of the American chain to open in the UK. The fast food restaurant will be located at 1-2 Petty Cury in Lion Yard.
It will be in the premises previously occupied by YO! Sushi. Posters in the windows of the premises promise hot dogs, beef burgers, crinkle-cut chips, and hand-spun milkshakes. The company has not yet confirmed an opening date for the Cambridge branch.
A spokesperson for the brand said: "Shake Shack serves elevated versions of American classics using only the best ingredients. It’s known for its delicious made-to-order Angus beef burgers, crispy chicken, hand-spun milkshakes, house-made lemonades, beer, wine, and more. "With its high-quality food at a great value, warm hospitality, and a commitment to crafting uplifting experiences, Shake Shack quickly became a cult-brand with widespread appeal.
