According to reports, Gauri Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s wife and an acclaimed interior designer, submitted an official application to the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) last month. The request seeks permission to construct two additional floors above the existing structure. The MCZMA reviewed this application during its recent meeting, which took place on December 10 and 11.

If approved, this expansion project is estimated to cost a whopping Rs 25 crore. Given Mannat’s status as a heritage property, built in 1914, the process requires strict approval. The residence spans a plot size of 2091.

Over the years, Mannat has transformed into a symbol of Shah Rukh Khan’s journey from an outsider to Bollywood royalty.
