The tournament, renowned for its tradition, excellence, and stellar organization by the Zaman family, kicked off under sweltering conditions. Despite the heat, day one witnessed exceptional golfing action and masterful performances, setting the tone for what lies ahead.

Leading the pack is Shabbir Iqbal, one of Pakistan’s most decorated golfers, who carded a phenomenal 65 in the opening round. His round included two eagles on par fives, a collection of precise birdies, and just a single bogey on the third hole — a near-flawless performance that reminded everyone why he’s often referred to as the “Tiger Woods of Pakistan.” Pakistan’s Noor Zaman crowned U-23 Squash World champion after epic comeback Hot on his heels are Asif Ali and Tabligh Hussain, both tied for second at 67, while Muhammad Minhaj and Akber Mehroz remain in striking distance, sharing fourth place with 68 each.



In total, 13 professionals played under par, and 33 players shot par or better, promising intense competition in the coming rounds. ” Another top golfer of the country Matloob Ahmed, while sharing his thoughts, said: “The legacy and passion behind this event are unmatched. The Gymkhana Golf Club staff were instrumental in executing a seamless first day. From logistics to player coordination, their round-the-clock efforts helped elevate the standard of the tournament. Colts PB triumphant in Ecostar Lahore Polo Super League’s second phase Special recognition was reserved for the greenkeeping team, led by Deputy Manager Taimoor and his assistant Usman.
