Severance fans floored by all the drama of Season 2 Episode 9 after complaining about 'slow' episode 8

Severance fans are filled with hype and dread as they watched episode nine amid complaints about the season being "boring"

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Severance season 2, episode 9 - The After Hours Severance fans are on the edge of their seat in the latest episode as the await the season finale next week . The hit Apple+ TV show is on its second season since premiering Jan. 17.

Episodes have been released weekly on Fridays since then and the season finale is March 20. The ninth episode, titled The After Hours , released today (March 14) and fans have shared their thoughts on the whirlwind the episode put them through especially before the one hour and 16 minute season finale. On X formerly know as Twitter, one fan said: "I just watched Ep 9 of Severance and.



..you guys are gonna throw up.

What a fucking ride the finale is about to be." A second fan said: "#Severance episode 9 returns to the main plot and sets up the finale perfectly as tensions rise and storylines converge. Tramell Tillman and John Turturro are incredible in this episode.

Prepare yourselves for this one." Another one: "Severance S2E9 feels like the calm before the storm. Thereʼs a lot unfolding and an overwhelming sense of gloom lingers over every moment.

This reaction comes as fans had divisive feelings towards episode eight , Sweet Vitriol, which was centered on Harmony Cobel (Patricia Arquette). Some complained that "nothing happened" and said it was a "slow" episode.

But the penultimate episode appeared to change those thoughts as it created built up to the finale. The ninth episode followed Mark Scout (played by Adam Scott) and Ms. Cobel speaking about his wife Gemma Scout (Dichen Lachman) and what's happening with her.

It also showed Helly (Britt Lower) being confronted by her father Jame Eagan (Michael Siberry) about being "tricked," Dylan G (Zach Cherry) quitting his job and Milchick (Tramell Tillman) snapping at Drummond (Ólafur Darri Ólafsson). The episode also saw a few goodbyes as Irving (John Turturro) was sent away by his lover Burt (Christopher Walken) for his protection. Miss Huang (Sarah Bock) was transported to Gunnel Eagan Empathy Center in Svalbard from Lumon.
