Seven Cayuga County-area restaurants open on Thanksgiving for dining, catering

Catering Thanksgiving dinners has been a tradition at this Auburn restaurant for several years, owner Bernie Simmons told The Citizen. The five-person meal includes turkey, roasted butternut squash, mac and cheese and more, with optional add-ons like tortellini alfredo, pumpkin roll dessert and Robert Redford chocolate and pecan pie. A full menu is available on the Washington Street steakhouse's Facebook page .

Orders must be placed by Saturday, Nov. 22, and meals can be picked up between 10 and noon Thanksgiving morning. WHERE: 67 Washington St.

The Port Byron diner will serve up its second Thanksgiving buffet this year. Spots can be reserved between 11 a.m.

and 3 p.m. for a classic spread that includes turkey, glazed ham and roast beef, with sides like potatoes, candied yams, fresh fruit and more.
