Serbian Government approves amendments to 2024 budget

The Serbian Government on Thursday approved amendments to the 2024 budget, with total projected revenues of 2,173.4 billion dinars (1 euros – 117 dinars), Prime Minister Milos Vucevic said following the session.

Podeli : The Serbian Government on Thursday approved amendments to the 2024 budget, with total projected revenues of 2,173.4 billion dinars (1 euros – 117 dinars), Prime Minister Milos Vucevic said following the session. He explained that the overall budget is increasing by 132 billion dinars and that a positive shift is that more money is being allocated to support families with children – 25 billion, and an additional 20 billion to healthcare, the Serbian state TV (RTS) reported.

“Another 20 billion will go to support farmers, with increased subsidies for crop and cattle farmers, we have also earmarked funds for improving transportation infrastructure, including new trains, one of which will connect the capital to Nikola Tesla Airport and Expo. We are also preparing infrastructure and all necessary elements for the reintroduction of military service,” said Prime Minister Vucevic. The Serbian Parliament is expected to begin discussions on the amended budget on Monday.
