Seoul’s Most Popular Coffee Shop Comes to LA for Two Days

Fritz Coffee, a popular South Korea-based coffee shop with locations in Seoul and on Jeju Island, is popping up in Los Angeles with Kumquat Coffee on February 1 and February 2. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund. The pop-up will take place at Kumquat’s Downtown LA location on the ground floor of the Jonathan Club.

Fritz will serve a menu of pastries and beverages on-site that include a raspberry croissant in collaboration with Fondry, pie manjoo with red bean paste, a special LA Arigang blend as drip coffee, espresso, pour-overs, and more. Fritz will also have a selection of merchandise like sweatshirts, mugs, and socks on sale. In addition to the coffee served on-site, beans will also be available to purchase by the bag.



For those who want to reserve a bag of coffee or pastries for pick-up, Kumquat is offering pre-orders . Support the Day Laborer Network at Baroo Arts District tasting menu restaurant Baroo is donating the proceeds from its nightly specials to the Day Laborer Network, an organization providing food and shelter to immigrant workers amid the 2025 wildfires. The current specials include a hwe and pyeon set with kanpachi and pig’s feet, a jeon set, and a ddukguk set with oysters and short rib.

Coffee Ceremony from Japan comes to Los Angeles Coffee Ceremony, a brand that designs coffee ware for tea-ceremony-like tastings, will be in Los Angeles between February 12 and 16 at POJ Studio’s Los Angeles pop-up. Coffee Ceremony founder Shinji Otsuki will be pouring complimentary tastings of coffee provided by Maru, alongside soba-boru from Owariya . POJ Studio will be selling certain items used in the ceremony.

Super Bowl buffet at Pijja Palace Pijja Palace is hosting an all-you-can-eat buffet for the Super Bowl on February 9 for $80 a person. The menu will include pizza, pasta, salad, wings, and more surprises. Drinks are available at an additional cost.
