Conceived as a hub for experimental exhibitions, scholarly research, and photographic preservation, the museum aims to become a leading center for photographic arts in Asia. The museum will open with a yearlong inaugural exhibition series titled Luminous Gazes , comprising three shows. The first, Storage Story , features works by contemporary artists reflecting on their experiences related to the museum’s creation.

The second, Radiance: Moments of Beginnings , traces the origins and milestones of Korean artistic photography through the works of its pioneering figures. A third exhibition is scheduled to launch in December. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.

m. to 8 p.m.

, the museum will be closed on Mondays. Weekend and holiday hours may vary seasonally. Admission to all exhibitions is free.
