Sentinel community health fair set for Thursday

The Keene Sentinel’s free community health fair returns on Thursday afternoon, featuring 20 area vendors offering free health resources, and a series of presentations from local health experts.

The Keene Sentinel's free community health fair returns on Thursday afternoon, featuring 20 area vendors offering free health resources, and a series of presentations from local health experts. The third annual For the Health of It! health fair, presented by The Sentinel's Monadnock Region Health Reporting Lab, is scheduled for 2-7 p.m.

Thursday at the Best Western Plus in Keene at 401 Winchester St. The event is free to attend and open to all. Presentations will include a holistic health workshop from local herbalist Lior Sadeh at 3 p.



m., an introduction to the Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention with the organization's prevention education director, Gianna Ricco, at 3:30 p.m.

and a session about understanding cardiac emergencies with Cheshire EMS Chief Mark Kreamer at 5 p.m. Elijah de Castro, The Sentinel's health solutions reporter, will moderate two panel discussions based on his reporting.

The first, at 4 p.m., will focus on the drivers of declining overdose deaths locally and nationally, and the second panel at 6 p.

m. will look at wood stove smoke pollution in the Monadnock Region, and how Keene's community air quality monitoring program can help. Additionally, the event will feature a variety of vendors ranging from physical and behavioral health providers to wellness resources and nursing and rehab facilities.
