A warm and merry Christmas to all Grenadians, whether you are here in our beautiful islands or celebrating with loved ones across the globe. I am truly honoured to share in these moments with you as we celebrate what makes us uniquely Grenadian. As the year comes to a close, Christmas offers us a chance to reflect on the beauty of connection — through family, friends, community, and tradition.
It’s a time to celebrate, but more importantly, to cherish the bonds that unite us as Grenadians. This season reminds us of the values of togetherness, generosity, and hope — principles that align with the work we do in Tourism, the Creative Economy, and Culture. Tourism has been a bridge, allowing the world to experience the richness of our heritage, from the warmth of our people and the beauty of our landscapes to the vibrancy of our festivals.
Similarly, our creative economy, driven by the talent of artists, musicians, designers, and entrepreneurs, continues to inspire resilience and enrich both our economy and spirit. As we celebrate this season, let us recognise how our shared traditions, music, and art foster unity and deepen our appreciation for the diversity that defines us. Looking ahead, let’s commit to building on the successes of this year.
Together, we can make our tourism sector more sustainable, strengthen our creative industries, and preserve our cultural heritage for future generations. By doing so, we will not only grow our economy but leave a lasting legacy. As a Christian nation, we are guided by the values of love, compassion, and unity — principles that have seen us through the toughest times, especially following Hurricane Beryl.
To the citizens of Petite Martinique, Carriacou, and the northern part of Grenada, who were most severely affected, I salute you. Your resilience and courage have been a beacon of hope, reminding us of the strength within our communities and the promise of a brighter future. This Christmas, let us joyfully celebrate the birth of Christ, a time that fills our hearts with hope, love, and peace.
Let us embrace the spirit of giving, unity, and support for one another. As we look ahead to 2025, we remain committed to harnessing the full potential of tourism, culture, and the creative economy to build a prosperous Grenada for generations to come. I extend my deepest gratitude to my dedicated staff, our invaluable industry partners, and the Government of Grenada for their unwavering support throughout 2024.
Your collaboration, commitment, and belief in our shared vision have been the bedrock of our progress. I am truly grateful for each of you and look forward to even greater achievements together in 2025. From the Ministry of Tourism, the Creative Economy, and Culture, I wish all Grenadians, at home and abroad, a Merry Christmas.
May the season bring joy to your hearts, warmth to your homes, inspiration to your lives, and opportunities for all. Let us step into the New Year with renewed hope, peace, and unity. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all! Sen.
the Hon. Adrian Thomas, Minister of Tourism, Creative Economy, and Culture.
