The inaugural Seal Dip charity sea swim takes place May 4 in Selsey, West Sussex. All proceeds go to the RNLI. Book your place now via Eventbrite.

A new charity sea swim has been announced. The Selsey Sea Bathing Society and the RNLI are collaborating on a new charity sea swim. The inaugural event, called The Seal Dip, will take place at 10am on Sunday, May 4, in Selsey, West Sussex.

The name was chosen to reflect the area's history, as Selsey and the Manhood Peninsula were named after the Saxon Seals-ey, or "The isle of seals." The organisers hope for a large turnout to support the RNLI, with all proceeds from the event going directly to the charity. If successful, a second Seal Dip is planned for Boxing Day.

The Selsey Sea Bathing Society, known for its community spirit and love of sea swimming, is encouraging as many people as possible to take part. For more information and to book a place, visit eventbrite.co.
