------------ Three US St. Patrick’s Day Traditions That Are Wrong St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated by Irish people all over the world, but there are some traditions you will only find in America.
1. When Irish Eyes Are Smiling The song is believed to be a traditional Irish folk song but was, in fact, written and composed by Americans. The song was originally written for a 1913 Broadway show called "The Isle O’Dreams.
" 2. Killian’s Irish Red Despite its name, Killian’s Irish Red is brewed exclusively in America, and Coors has owned the name since 1980. 3.
St. Patty’s Day A common mistake by Americans is referring to the holiday as "St. Patty’s Day".
In Ireland, Patty is short for Patricia, not Patrick. The Irish instead refer to the holiday as "Paddy’s Day". 5 Irish-inspired recipes to try this week This week's recipe roundup features main dishes, sides and drinks that are all fitting for the upcoming St.
