Second-gen Haval H9 diesel-powered SUV will launch on December 5 On December 3, Great Wall Motor’s Haval brand announced that its second-generation Haval H9 diesel-powered hardcore SUV will officially enter the market on December 5, with an expected price range of 238,900 – 252,900 yuan (32,800 – 34,700 USD). For reference, the second-generation Haval H9 launched in September is gasoline-powered , available in three trims, with a price range of 199,900 – 229,900 yuan (28,400 – 32,700 USD). For the appearance, the diesel variant retains the same design as that of the gasoline-powered variant.

The front face adopts a rectangular grille decorated with four horizontal chrome bars, paired with round retro headlights and a thick black bumper. In the rear, there is a high-mounted brake light, vertical taillights, a spare tire, and a side-opening tailgate. Consumers can choose from two different rear designs: equipped with a spare tire or an external square storage unit.



The length is 5070 mm and 4950 mm, respectively; while the width is 1976 mm and 1960 mm, respectively. The height and wheelbase are the same for both versions: 1930 mm and 2850 mm, respectively. From the side, the body adopts a square shape, coupled with roof luggage racks as well as conventional door handles.

The car runs on multi-spoke rims. Power comes from a 2.4T diesel engine with a maximum power of 137 kW (184 hp) and a peak torque of 480 Nm, mated to a 9AT.

BorgWarner’s TOD (Torque On Demand) intelligent four-wheel drive system is also present. Inside, the cockpit is equipped with a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 14.

6-inch central control screen, which can support intelligent voice interaction.
