The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a forecast for wet and overcast conditions across the city, with a steady stream of rain anticipated throughout the coming week. As residents brace themselves for the deluge, the NWS details that today's weather can expect "Rain, mainly before 5pm" with a high near 49 degrees and a south-southwest wind ranging from 14 to 21 mph, hinged with gusts possibly peaking at 26 mph. The chance of precipitation holds firm at 90%, with new rainfall amounts expected to be between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, as per the National Weather Service.

As evening approaches, the National Weather Service predicts the rainfall will persist, noting that tonight's weather will "Rain, mainly after 9pm" and temperatures are set to bottom out around 40 degrees. The south winds are slated to decrease in intensity moderately, moving at 7 to 14 mph. Although the precipitation is likely to continue unabated, the forecasted rainfall quantities are again anticipated to fall largely between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.
